Thirty-nine volunteers attended TNSAVEs first-ever training course on ATC 20/45 Procedures for Post-Disaster Safety Evaluation of Buildings. The training took place on April 22, 2016, at TEMA Headquarters in Nashville. Ted Pruess, PE, a structural engineer and member of Missouri’s SAVE program was our instructor. This training or an approved equivalent must be taken every 3 years for individuals wishing to be deployed to perform structural inspections following a disaster. Seven professional development hours were awarded to the licensed architects and engineers who were in attendance.
